Ascension Health-owned Network Retains FaithSearch Partners for COO, CNO Searches

Providence_Health_LogoTexas-based Providence Healthcare Network (PHN) has retained FaithSearch Partners to manage search engagements for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). PHN is a ministry unit of Ascension Health, the largest faith-based (Catholic) and not-for-profit health system in the United States. Anchored by a 237-bed hospital in Waco, PHN is the region’s leading provider and enjoys a long history of strong financial performance.

“PHN is a well-established, comprehensive healthcare network with a reputation for delivering spiritually centered, holistic healthcare for more than 100 years,” said Ivan Bartolome, Senior Vice President of FaithSearch Partners.  “Candidates for the COO and CNO positions will have an opportunity to join a remarkable organization that continues—after decades of growth and development—to provide the best physicians and staff with leading-edge equipment and facilities in order to meet the growing needs of the individuals and communities they serve.”

“Both the COO and CNO will serve as key members of the PHN executive team,” said Ed Fry, President of FaithSearch Partners. “We are aggressively seeking highly-qualified, experienced healthcare leaders whose practical skills are rooted in a mission-driven context consistent with PHN’s core values.”

The COO will oversee most operational functions across an array of departments throughout PHN. He or she will be responsible for cultivating a high-performing hospital climate and will direct the executive team’s efforts to manage and improve patient care and overall operations system-wide. Top-tier candidates will have demonstrated ability to drive cost-efficient, high-quality healthcare and growth by ensuring optimal operating and management effectiveness in a progressive hospital setting.
