Large Physician Group in Seattle/Tacoma Seeks Physician Exec to Oversee Specialists
FSP Leaders, an affiliate of FaithSearch Partners focusing on executive search in secular (non faith-based) healthcare systems, has been retained by its client Multicare Health System in Tacoma, Washington, to conduct the search for the Senior Physician Executive of Adult Specialties and Carelines for MultiCare Medical Associates. MultiCare Health System (MHS) is a five-hospital, regional, not-for-profit integrated health system based in Tacoma, Washington. With more than 11,000 employees and generating more than $2 billion in annual revenue, MHS enjoys a long and proud history of operating profitably while providing quality care to the South Puget Sound Region, one of the largest and fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the U.S.
Reporting to the President of Multicare Medical Associates, the Senior Physician Executive will be responsible for planning and directing the medical affairs and clinical operations of the adult specialty care practices (230+ specialty physicians) and services within MultiCare Medical Associates (MMA). This Physician Executive will provide group leadership and oversees the performance of MMA adult specialty care providers and contracted providers. In addition, this position is responsible for defining and orchestrating the strategic direction and business development for all of the recognized service lines within MHS with the VP – Retail Health & Service Lines.
“We are honored to be managing the search for Multicare Health System’s Senior Physician Executive. We’ve worked with Multicare in the past, and it is an exceptional health system, providing excellent, patient-centered quality of care to its community, a community which happens to be one of the most beautiful areas of the country,” said Jeff Jernigan, Senior Vice President at FSP Leaders. “Multicare’s Senior Physician Executive will need to be a remarkable physician leader with a strategic vision, a team-oriented approach, and a servant mindset with experience improving physician engagement and exposure to population health management.”
