Baptist Health Kentucky Names Colman New CEO
The Chief Operating Officer of Wisconsin’s largest private - employer and healthcare system has been named CEO of Baptist Health following a nationwide search. Gerard “Ger” Colman will assume his new role on Monday, December 4. The 47-year-old spent 4 years as COO with the Aurora Health Care System in Milwaukee, WI, with its 15 hospitals, more than 150 clinics and more than 70 pharmacies.
He has been involved in healthcare for 25 years, with wide-ranging experience in operations, finance, information technology and physician engagement. - “Ger has been preparing to take the reins as a CEO for his entire career. We are fortunate to have found someone with his breadth and depth of experience,” said Allen Rudd, Baptist Health Board of Directors chairman. Colman holds a doctorate in healthcare management from the University of Texas School of Public Health and began his healthcare career as a corpsman in the U.S. Navy.
