HealthSearch Partners Assists with the Search.
Orlando, FL-based AdventHealth University (AHU) has selected HealthSearch Partners (HSP), to assist with a search for additional Faculty for its Doctor of Nursing Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) program.
The DNAP program is a high-profile program at AHU that is “front-facing” with partner AdventHealth hospitals and AdventHealth leadership because of the interaction with surgical clinical sites. It is also considered a legacy program at AHU with nearly 90 students (30 students in each cohort). This Faculty will advance the AHU mission while reflecting the University ‘s values in their work, initiatives, and leadership.
Founded as Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences, AdventHealth University has evolved from a nascent junior college in 1992 to a Level V doctoral-granting university. The University works closely with AdventHealth to give students the clinical experience that only a major medical center can provide. AdventHealth, a globally recognized medical center, is the largest of more than 350 healthcare facilities worldwide, operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
AHU specializes in allied health and nursing undergraduate and graduate education. The University offers Master’s degrees in healthcare administration, occupational therapy, robotics, spiritual care, advanced nursing, nurse anesthesia, and physician assistant studies as well as a Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Baccalaureate degrees in healthcare administration, laboratory sciences, biomedical sciences, diagnostic medical sonography, health sciences, nuclear medicine, nursing, and radiologic sciences are also available as are associate of science degrees in diagnostic medical sonography (general or cardiovascular ultrasound), occupational therapy assistant, and radiography. General education courses in liberal arts and sciences are taught on the campus as well.
The ideal Faculty candidate will have an academic background and experience in graduate and DNAP classroom teaching and possess experience in scholarly achievement including research and serving as a faculty member with teaching responsibilities. In addition, the candidate should have demonstrated experience of participating in academic assessment and accreditation processes.
For consideration, candidates must have graduated from a regionally accredited college or university with a terminal degree (DNAP, PhD, EdD, DNP), a minimum of five years of experience in DNP or DNAP CRNA practice, professional DNAP teaching experience and be eligible for all necessary licensures.
