Rita Bunch, MPH, FACHE, a veteran healthcare executive, has been named Market CEO, Erlanger East Hospital and Erlanger North Hospital. Bunch joins Chattanooga, TN-based Erlanger after serving as President of Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA, where she led the hospital through opening the Sentara Martha Jefferson Outpatient Care Center, its collaboration with Charlottesville-based UVA Health Children’s on an outpatient clinic, and an emergency department restructuring to expand capacity.
HealthSearch Partners led the search for Erlanger that culminated in Bunch’s appointment to the position. As the Market CEO, Bunch will be responsible for driving quality patient care, enhancing employee engagement, increasing physician satisfaction, and improving financial performance at the hospitals. Bunch will also make crucial recommendations regarding facility investments and foster strong collaborative relationships within the medical community.
Bunch will join Erlanger in October.
