Thomas (Tom) Spindler, FACHE, is Vice President supporting HSP’s clients to recruit top C-suite talent.  Spindler’s healthcare career includes more than 35 years in executive positions with Vizient, Inc. and VHA, Inc, and leadership in senior management positions with healthcare organizations in California and Arizona.

A results-driven healthcare operations executive, he has extensive experience in hospitals, health systems, and healthcare provider alliances across the country. His expertise encompasses operations improvement, talent management, employee relations, expense/revenue management improvement, community/business partnerships, and service improvement. His focus on boosting organizational growth, expanding market share and enhancing operational efficiency enables him to provide HSP clients with valuable insight and a competitive edge in securing top C-suite talent.

At Vizient/VHA, Tom focused on developing and cultivating executive network relationships. He was the senior executive for the Mid-America and Mountain States regions for the nation’s largest hospital alliance. He also served on 10 member-CEO boards at Vizient/VHA and he was a member of the board of the Health Plan Alliance. His deep C-suite experience includes serving as CEO at healthcare systems in southern California and Arizona. He also was a consultant with Arthur Andersen and an administrative resident for the Veterans Administration.

Tom holds a master’s degree in health services administration from Arizona State University, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Michigan State University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
