After attending the recent ACHE Congress on Healthcare Leadership, we’ve been thinking about the outstanding healthcare executives we met and considering the common themes that emerged from our meetings with many attendees.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on hospitals and healthcare systems, including a higher rate of turnover for CEOs and other executives. According to a survey conducted by a healthcare executive search firm, 15% of hospital CEOs in the United States have left their positions since the start of the pandemic.
